These are a few of my favorite games. Enjoy!

NHL2003
EA Sports

I've bought and played (extensively) every NHL game since 1995. NHL2003 is the first time that I think the new game is worse than its predesessor. NHL2003 seems almost incomplete; many of the options players will be familiar with are simply not present; you can no longer default to manual line changes; you can't view player stats in trade proposals, you can't view a list of players on waivers easily, you no longer have a profile, the cards from NHL2002 are gone, there are no player specific moves, etc. It is fun to play, but the absences are annoying.

I haven't played this one online yet so I can't really say whether or not it is any better than NHL2001.

NHL2002
EA Sports

NHL2002 was both a great game and a huge disappointment. In single player mode, the game was pretty good; the graphics and sounds are stunning and for the first week or so the game is awesome. Then, you learn how to score, and even playing on the hardest level with goalies turned up to maximum skill you start having games that are 25 or 30 to nothing and it just isn't fun anymore.

Multiplayer in NHL2002 is better than NHL2001, but it is still very slow and choppy.

NHL 2001
EA Sports

NHL 2001 is the latest release in the popular EA sports NHL series. It continues where NHL 2000 leaves off with great graphics and easy gameplay, and it adds a lot of configuration controls so you can customize the game to act the way you want. EA Sports has finally managed to create a game with no automatic or "money shots" which plagued their previous offerings.

I am currently in an online NHL2001 league (formerly the Chicago Cyber Hockey League) and we all use this game. In general, it is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, there are some problems with this game playing via modem or the Internet; I hope EA manages to solve their lag and disconnection problems soon.

Diablo II
Blizzard Entertainment

Diablo II is the sequel to the incredibly popular game Diablo by Blizzard. Diablo II has the same general game engine but it features greatly improved graphics and more balanced gameplay between the character classes. There are more quests, items, characters, and monsters in this game than any other I have seen in years.

Diablo II is also very fun to play online using Blizzard's Battlenet. There are usually thousands of players online at any given time and there are hundreds of games. I personally haven't had many problems with lag or disconnects.

Also keep this page bookmarked as I will add links for the new expansion set as soon as it is released.

Pharaoh
Impressions Games / Sierra

A classic interpretation of the Civilization / Sim City genre set on the ancient Nile. You haven't lived until you have ordered hordes of slaves to build temples to honor yourself...

I find this game very entertaining, but it gets old fast. You also can't make it challenging without it becoming annoying. Oh, well...
